Forward Mode Transformers

  • Designed for forward topology operating at 250 kHz; Input voltage range: 36 – 75 V
  • FCT1-50M2S is referenced on NSC application note AN-1724 as CA2983-CL
    and on AN-1725 as GA2983-CL
  • Five versions for 3.3, 5, 9, 12 and 15 Volt output
  • 1500 Vrms primary to secondary isolation
  • Auxiliary winding output: 10 V, 20 mA
  • For 8 Watt Applications, the FCT1-xxxK2SL series is recommended by NSC
  • RoHS-compliant. 260°C compatible. Tin-silver over tin over nickel over phos bronze terminations

2 Inductance measured at 250 kHz, 0.5 Vrms, 0 Adc.
3 DCR for the secondary is measured with the windings connected in parallel.
4 Leakage inductance is for the primary winding and is measured with the secondary windings shorted.
5 Turns ratio for secondary is with the windings connected in parallel. 
6 Output of the secondary is with the windings connected in parallel. Auxiliary winding output is 10 V, 20 mA.
7 Ambient temperature range: –40°C to +85°C
8 Storage temperature range: Component: –40°C to +85°C
T&R packaging: –40°C to +80°C
9 Resistance to soldering heat: Three reflows at >217°C for 90 seconds (+260°C ±5°C for 20 – 40 seconds), allowing parts to cool to room temperature between.
10 Electrical specifications at 25°C.
