MSS5131 Series Shielded
Surface Mount Power Inductors

New RoHS part numbers are shown. Lead was removed from internal connections. Last three characters indicate tolerance, RoHS compliance, and packaging. (View old data sheet.)
  • Magnetically shielded
  • Small footprint, just 5.1 mm square
  • Current rating up to 2.3 Amps
  • Low DC resistance for greater efficiency
  • Inductance ratings from 2.2 to 390 µH
  • AEC-200 Grade 3 (-40°C to +85°C)
  • RoHS-compliant. 260°C compatible. RoHS compliant matte tin over nickel over phos bronze (current production) or gold over nickel over phos bronze (prior production)
  • COTS Plus tin-silver-copper and tin-lead terminations available

2 Inductance measured at 100 kHz, 0.1 Vrms using an Agilent/HP 4263B LCR meter or equivalent.
3 SRF measured using an Agilent/HP8753D network analyzer and a Coilcraft SMD-D test fixture. Details
4 Isat: DC current at which the inductance drops the specified amount from its value without current. Details
5 Irms: Current that causes the specified temperature rise from 25°C ambient. Details
6 Ambient temperature range: –40°C to +85°C with Irms current.
+85°C to +125°C with derated current Derating curve
7 Storage temperature range: Component: –40°C to +125°C
Tape and reel packaging: –40°C to +80°C
8 Resistance to soldering heat: Three reflows at >217°C for 90 seconds (+260°C ±5°C for 20 – 40 seconds), allowing parts to cool to room temperature between.
9 Electrical specifications at 25°C.
